Georgia Tech now has six more offensive linemen committed in the 2020 class than they had sign in the 2019 class. That’s right, they have six with Biloxi, MS-native Ryan Spiers announcing his commitment on Twitter.

Spiers stands at 6-4, 275 pounds and commits to Tech over other reported offers from a handful of G5 schools. He is currently unrated by both Rivals and the 247Sports Composite, but both list offensive line coach Brent Key as his primary recruiter, so I’m gonna have to assume he knows what he’s doing here, but it seems like he may be more of a project player here.
Spiers looks pretty lean for 275 pounds, but he’s not a mean streak that shows on his film. He looks like he plays pretty low in his blocking, which is good for run blocking. He needs some work, but I think he could be a solid addition.
