Georgia Tech has brought in its ninth recruit of the 2019 cycle with quarterback Jordan Yates, just days after bringing in its first quarterback of the class.
He announced his commitment on Twitter.

He will join the Yellow Jackets following his senior season at Milton High School in Alpharetta. He ranks as a three-star recruit on both Rivals (5.6) and 247Sports (0.8556).
Yates committed to Georgia Tech over reported offers from mostly G5 schools, like Appalachian State and Georgia Southern. He also received some interest from Wake Forest.
Normally, Tech traditionally only takes one quarterback, but given the early departure of Jay Jones, Tech brought on an additional quarterback in this cycle.
Film
I really like Yates’ film. He does a good job of making tacklers miss and then breaking away with really good speed.
As a passer, he also has a pretty solid arm, but what I really like was his ability to throw on the run, which he did a good bit in his film. There were some deep throws that floated a little bit, but they were pretty on the money for the most part.
Overall, Yates vs. Knight should be a fun position battle to watch in the coming years. Both bring a good bit of talent, even though the styles differ.
Welcome to the Flats!
