Georgia Tech Football: Long Snapper Cade Long joins the Recruiting Class as a PWO

Finally, some good news!

NCAA Football: Tennessee at Georgia Tech John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets picked up another member of its recruiting class today!

Cade Long, of Chattanooga, TN, committed to Georgia Tech as a preferred walk-on, as long snappers typically do. Long will get the opportunity to replace our current long snapper Casey Wilson, who graduates this year.

Here is the analysis of Long, courtesy of Kohl’s Kicking, who first reported his commitment:

Long had his best showing yet at the Spring Texas Showcase. His charting session earned him a top 5 finish amongst all the snapper in the country. He has continued to develop physically and this showed in the athleticism portion of camp. During the National Scholarship Camp, he finished with the 6th best overall chart and had an average snap time of .67 seconds. Long is an exciting prospect because he is a special talent and will be able to make an impact at the next level.

You can find more information on Long on his profile page on Kohl’s Kicking here. Welcome to the Flats, Cade!
