We've got ourselves a house divided in the making after the announcement today that Marcus Marshall, a 5.5-rated three-star running back (per Rivals) from Millbrook High School in Raleigh, NC, has committed to play at Georgia Tech over offers from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and James Madison. It's likely to create a "house divided" in that Marshall's brother, Keith, is a running back for Georgia Tech's in-state rivals, the georgia bulldogs. He commits to Georgia Tech after a visit this past weekend, which also featured LB commit Tyler Cooksey.
At 5'9", 205 lbs, Marshall projects as a B-Back with a shorter, more sturdy frame. His film backs that up, as he shows a downhill running style and doesn't shy away from contact. He also displays nice speed and vision that could see him end up as something of a hybrid guy who could also play A-Back as needs dictate. Either way, this looks like a nice pickup for the Jackets.
Marshall becomes the 25th and possibly final commitment of Georgia Tech's 2015 class, with National Signing Day just over a week away.
Congratulations to Marcus Marshall and his family!
