Brant Mitchell, a three-star middle linebacker from the Webb School of Knoxville (TN), has committed to play for Ted Roof at Georgia Tech per his Rivals page. At 6'2", 235 pounds, Mitchell commits to the Yellow Jackets over offers from Tennessee, Mississippi State, Louisville, Duke, and Cincinnati, and he also had reported interest from Stanford. Mitchell received his offer from Georgia Tech back in March, before visiting back in June. He reportedly visited again this weekend, and committed before heading back home. He is Georgia Tech's second commitment from Knoxville in the 2015 recruiting class, joining the speedy Nathan Cottrell, who hails from Knoxville's West High School. Mitchell is also the second linebacker in the class, joining Tech legacy Tyler Cooksey, who committed about a month ago. Mitchell's film can be seen below.
Mitchell is rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals (5.6) and the 247Sports Composite (.8535).
Do you like what you see in the film? Are you as excited as I am that we were able to get a player with a Tennessee offer out of Knoxville?
