Happy gameday folks! Today, Georgia Tech gets its season started by taking on the Northern Illinois Huskies. Be sure to join us in the comments to talk about the game, and leave your predictions below!

Staff Predictions

Ben: Georgia Tech wins 45-14. Honestly, I think this ends up being a bit of a blowout for Tech. The more I read about Northern Illinois, the more I see just how bad they are. I think the Huskies will get some points in garbage time, but this should be a quick and easy win for the Yellow Jackets.

Sammy: Georgia Tech wins 42-17. Jahmyr goes for 150/2 TDs and sits the whole second half. Defense looks improved and inspired but second unit gives up some points.

Andrew: Georgia Tech wins 38-10. The game stays closer than it should for longer than it should.

Logan: Georgia Tech wins 65-0. I just made up a score that would make me feel happy if it happened. It’s week 1, sue me.

Jake P: Georgia Tech wins 35-14. NIU is past its glory days; anything other than a comfortable win for Georgia Tech is an omen for a long season.

Chris: Georgia Tech wins 35-17.

Jeff: Georgia Tech wins 37-14. We finally get a good tune up game at home to open the season in the Collins era. Our line should be able to control this game and work on getting a good rhythm. Expect Gibbs to show out and Sims to make some big plays as well. NIU’s QB is a transfer who has some experience so it’ll be a good test for the secondary to start.

Jake G.: Georgia Tech wins 34-17. I said something similar on the podcast, so it’ll stick by it. NIU is very green and this atmosphere + experience boost plays in our favor, too. Very excited for the season to kick off!

Robert: Georgia Tech wins 42-17.

Carter: Georgia Tech wins 35-17. #MACtion is magic. This much is known. Is that enough for NIU to pull the upset? Probably not. Geoff Collins’s post game Waffle House hash browns are perfectly crisped.

How do you think Tech does today?
