Happy gameday! Georgia Tech will be hosting the North Carolina Tar Heels at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It should be a fun game, and it’ll be a great opportunity for Georgia Tech to take a step forward and build on last week’s moral victory.
As always, play nice in the comments, and enjoy the game!
Game Predictions
Ben: UNC wins 31-28. I think Georgia Tech keeps this close all game long. You will see them take a page out of last week’s playbook and extend drives to keep the ball out of UNC’s hands. Tech builds on its momentum from last week, but it’s just barely not enough as UNC wins by a field goal.
Sammy: UNC wins 45-38. We find success early, keep it close through the first half. Ultimately, Tech’s lack of QB pressure allows Sam Howell to take control in the 4th quarter.
Jeff: UNC wins 42-21.
Robert: UNC wins 42-35
Jake P.: UNC wins 52-31. I think that UNC’s offense is too good, and Georgia Tech’s offense won’t be able to keep up.
Jake G.: Georgia Tech wins 31-21. I am being bold. I think our defense sticks, and our offense is just good enough to stay in front. We’ll add a score late to make it look more comfortable than it was.
Carter: UNC wins 35-28. Geoff Collins doesn’t HAVE to win this game. Obviously, that would be great, but if Georgia Tech can keep the momentum going from last week’s near-miss against Clemson by playing it close against a heavily-favored visitor, that’s enough to alter our outlook on the season, especially with an ostensibly easier game next week. If the Jackets completely faceplant like they did in week one, well then, we’ve all wasted our time and might as well enjoy staring into oblivion until at least 2023. Geoff Collins walks to the Waffle House by Centennial Olympic Park after the game. His meal isn’t perfect, but it’s fine.
