GAMETHREAD: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. Miami Hurricanes

Let’s do this!

NCAA Football: North Carolina at Georgia Tech Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Happy gameday! I know things aren’t going quite the way people were hoping this season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have a good time!

As always, play nice in the comments and go Jackets!

Score Predictions

Ben: Miami wins 38-24. I really, really wish this game happened earlier in the season when Miami was floundering and Georgia Tech was hot. Unfortunately, those roles seem to have reversed, so I think Miami takes care of business pretty easily.

Robert: Miami wins 35-28.

Austin: Miami wins 45-20. Diaz has his team trending in the right direction, while Tech continues to circle the drain. We’re sliding past mediocrity and it’s not stopping this week. Van Dyke is young but expect the career best trend to continue as he goes off against our…porous secondary. Sadness.

Jake P.: Miami wins 38-28. Tech’s defense just isn’t there, and Tyler Van Dyke has been for the Hurricanes since taking over the starting job.

Jake: Miami wins by two scores, 28-17. The Canes found the right guy at the right time to sling the football, and we may have exhausted our weekly Miami-related win supply last night in volleyball. Still don’t think it’s much of an offensive fireworks show, though.

Carter: Miami wins 34-17. Two years ago Georgia Tech beat Miami thanks to a defensive touchdown, three missed field goals, and Tech’s punter dropping TD passes on them. Georgia Tech in 2021 does not have any of the pieces that helped it win in 2019, and I’m assuming Miami has a better kicker now. If you don’t have Bally, spare yourself the pain; if you do..... spare yourself the pain.
