Now that we here at From the Rumble Seat have previewed all of the regular season opponents and talked about the most important game of the season, it’s time to throw some hot takes out there.
Here is who we all think Tech will be playing in the ACC Championship Game!
Akshay Easwaran
GT (10-2, losses to Clemson and uga) vs Clemson, 14-28 L (womp womp)
Christopher Paschal
16-35 loss against Clemson
Ethan Kreager
I like Clemson to come out of the Atlantic. Florida State and NC State have the talent to hang with the tigers and keep the race interesting well into November, but I don’t think either has what it takes to beat the tigers. I like Clemson to run the table in the ACC regular season behind its vaunted defensive line and excellent play from true freshman QB Trevor Lawrence, and come into Charlotte looking every bit the playoff contender they are believed to be.
Jake Grant
Tech, after beating VPISU on the road on a Thursday night in the haunted house of horrors known as Lane Stadium on a weeknight and Miami at home in whiteout conditions finds itself pitted against its cross divisional rival for the second time of the year. This meeting goes no better for the Jackets than either Miami’s attempt to dethrone Clemson or their own game against the Tigers earlier in the season. Tigers win and Jackets fade early in the second quarter.

I could do a deep-dive analysis into how Jimbo Fisher set FSU up for Willie Taggart to take the Noles to Charlotte or, hell, why Dave Doeren will finally put it together and get NC State to its first ACC Championship.
Or I could not do that and tell you Clemson’s winning the Atlantic again. Yeah, that one sounds better to me too.
Stephen Murphey
Clemson 56 - Georgia Tech - 14
Benjamin Tankersley
Obviously got Clemson waiting to meet the Yellow Jackets in Charlotte. As for the game, unless Tech’s offensive line gets much better, TaQuon Marshall is going to be running for his life. Tigers win 42-20 on their way to the College Football Playoff.
Drew Gordon
Boston College 49-GT 41. Ok, not really. But what if it did happen? (It’s not, Clemson is going to win).
Cade Lawson
I think Virginia Tech has a better shot at winning the Coastal than Tech, but if Tech is in it I’ll say 31-14 Clemson. That’s a rematch we’d be blessed to avoid.
Who do you think Tech will play in the ACC Championship Game, and why is it Clemson?
