It’s been a rough week for Temple. First, that whole Manny Diaz mess happened. And now, it looks like defensive coordinator Andrew Thacker will officially be joining former Temple HC Geoff Collins’ new staff at Georgia Tech.

Thacker is another young coach with a pretty impressive resume so far, that includes stops with the Atlanta Falcons, UCF, and Kennesaw State, prior to coming to Temple. He is also originally from Cartersville.
I’m a big fan of this hire. Thacker is a bright young mind with a great future ahead of him. Working under another great defensive mind in Geoff Collins is good for him as well, as I’m sure Collins will have plenty of influence on the defense.
Welcome to the Flats!
Update 12/31, 2:20 p.m.
