News came out today in an official statement from Georgia Tech that B-back Dedrick Mills has been dismissed from the team following a third violation of team rules.
#GaTech has dismissed starting B-back Dedrick Mills for violation of team rules. It was his third strike.

Obviously this is a huge blow. Mills, despite playing in just nine games last season, was the Yellow Jackets’ leading rusher. He finished the season with 152 carries for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns. Coming into the season, Mills had also been named to quite a few watch lists, including the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award.
With Mills now gone, there is now a position battle at B-back among the remaining players: KirVonte Benson, Quaide Weimerskirch and Jerry Howard.
Paul Johnson is meeting with the media following practice today closer to the end of business today, so hopefully we will be able to get some more information on this position battle.
Who will start at B-back for Georgia Tech now?
