Georgia Tech takes the national stage tonight as they look to play spoiler to #5 Clemson. Both teams come in undefeated at 3-0, collectively sporting a trio of Power-5 wins over Boston College, Vanderbilt, and Auburn. The Tigers’ offense struggled to get going early in the year, before taking off and hitting their stride last week in a 59-0 blowout of South Carolina State. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets’ offense looks much better than it did in 2015 thanks to experience, a lack of injuries (thus far knocks on wood), and improved play from Justin Thomas. The Tigers’ defense will be one of the biggest tests that Georgia Tech’s offense faces this season, and the Yellow Jackets’ best chance to win may be in a low-scoring game.
“White Out” conditions will be in effect, as the crowd has been urged to show up wearing white and ready to get loud to support the team -- especially the defense. Win or lose, tonight figures to be yet another electric atmosphere at Bobby Dodd Stadium for a night game.
