Georgia Tech's two-year Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Golf Tournament winning streak was broken this week, as Coach Johnson and Jon Barry finished tied for second at -9 alongside the teams from N.C. State (Dave Doeren and Terry Harvey) and georgia (Kirby Smart and David Dukes).
The ultimate winners were the Ole Miss team of Hugh Freeze and Wesley Walls. The team of Johnson and Barry has competed every year since the Tournament started in 2009, winning the last two years and four of the previous five. They've never finished worse than third out of fields of at least 10 teams.
Also of note: Johnson won the "Closest to the Pin" competition (just outside of 5 feet), while Barry won the Long Drive for the Celebrity division (shooting 285 yards).
