In his time at Georgia Tech, Coach Johnson and his staff have been known for making good adjustments at halftime that see his team more successful in the second half than in the first.
Let's hope that's the case today.
Nothing has worked so far today for Georgia Tech. The defense was gashed by the Duke offense for two touchdowns, and a punt return took the Blue Devils to the 1-yard line for an easy third touchdown. The offense has sputtered on third down and in general, only finding much success in the passing game, strangely, where Justin Thomas is 4-for-6 with 92 yards. The Jackets finally put together a nice drive before halftime, resulting in a touchdown pass to Ricky Jeune.
The defense seemed to start extremely slowly before tightening up a bit in the second quarter. Duke has over 200 yards in the first half and have over 100 yards of passing and rushing. The defense forced a turnover on the first drive of the game, as Duke was slashing for 8 yards per play prior to that.
Things look pretty gloomy so far, but the tide has begun to swing in Georgia Tech's favor. Hopefully they can keep that rolling.
How you holding up, Tech fans? About to go support your local liquor store?
