Safety Demond Smith delivered a huge hit on as a back ran right and tried to turn the corner in 11-on-11 drills. Later in the same drill, Justin Thomas connected with Dennis Andrews deep down the middle for a long touchdown

Highlights of the Day
A-back JJ Green made a nice over-the-shoulder catch down the right sideline in 7-on-7 drills. The 11-on-11 drills featured a number of big hits by both offense and defense, making it one of the more intense sessions of the spring.

Tim Byerly hit Austin McClellan deep over the middle in tight coverage for a touchdown in 7-on-7 drills.

Highlights of the Day
Redshirt freshman A-Back Clinton Lynch took a pitch and raced 47 yards for a touchdown down the right sideline. Junior Kicker Harrison Butker was perfect on three field goal attempts, including one from 48 yards.

News & Notes
- All 3 centers have been dealing with injury issues for the entirety of spring practice. Returning starter Freddie Burden has played some at offensive guard, unable to snap the ball due to a cast on his hand. Andrew Marshall has been out for all 3 weeks recovering from surgery. Nick Brigham has been intermittently out at times as well. In their absence, walk-on players have served as center, including Niko Anderson and Michael Muns.
- OL Shamire Devine took his first contact reps this spring on Wednesday.
- OL Bryan Chamberlain has also been dealing with an injury of his own.
- BB Quaide Weimerskirch had surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn ligament in his foot. The coaches are hopeful that he'll be ready for fall practice.As the Yellow Jackets approach their final week of spring practice, let's see how Spring Game preparations are going.
- OL Trey Klock has been starting at left tackle in the absence of Chris Griffin.
- DE KeShun Freeman is up to around 245lbs and says he plans on playing at that weight this fall.
- Coach Johnson spoke highly of DT Adam Gotsis and DT Jabari Hunt-Days, calling them "unblockable" right now.
- Former LB Marcus Allen has moved to B-Back to add some depth after Quaide Weimerskirch's injury. Justin Thomas said Allen has been running the ball well, considering he's only worked there for three days.

Georgia Tech will practice on Monday and Wednesday before hosting the "Friday Night on the Flats" spring football game this Friday night, with kickoff at 7pm.
