Georgia Tech Football: Jackets in the NFL – Week 10

New, comments

There wasn't much going for the Pro Jackets this week.

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

T.J. Barnes, DT, New York Jets (2008-2012)

TJ Barnes played as a reserve in the New York Jets' 22-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Barnes didn't record any stats.

Morgan Burnett, S, Green Bay Packers (2007-2009)

Morgan Burnett had a decent game in the Packers' 18-16 loss to the Detroit Lions. Burnett had eight tackles with four of them being solo tackles. He is this week's top pro Jacket.

Mario Butler, CB, Buffalo Bills (2007-2009)

Mario Butler played as a reserve for the Buffalo Bills in their 22-17 victory over the New York Jets. Butler didn't record any stats.

Calvin Johnson, WR, Detroit Lions (2004-2006)

The Lions-Packers match-up was quite interesting. The Lions managed to pull off the major upset, winning 18-16, but Calvin Johnson nearly lost the game for them after botching the onside kick. The rest of the game, Johnson hauled in six catches for 81 yards.

Michael Johnson, DE, Cincinnati Bengals (2005-2008)

Michael Johnson and the Cincinnati Bengals lost a defensive match to the Houston Texans 10-6. Johnson did his part with three tackles, a hit on the quarterback and a pass deflection.

Shaquille Mason, OG, New England Patriots (2011-2014)

Shaq Mason started at right guard in the Patriots' 27-26 victory over the New York Giants.

Derrick Morgan, OLB, Tennessee Titans (2007-2009)

Derrick Morgan and the Tennessee Titans weren't able to do much against the Carolina Panthers in their 27-10 loss. Morgan managed two tackles (one solo) and got in a hit on Cam Newton.

Daryl Smith, LB, Baltimore Ravens (2000-2003)

Daryl Smith continued to be a solid force for the Ravens defense in their 22-20 "loss" to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Smith had five tackles (three solo).

Demaryius Thomas, WR, Denver Broncos (2006-2008)

Demaryius Thomas and the Broncos were pretty pathetic this week (in part because of Peyton's four picks, but you know) and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 29-13. Thomas was solid, though, and hauled in seven of his 10 targets for 71 yards.

Vance Walker, DE, Denver Broncos (2005-2008)

In the Broncos' 29-13 loss to the Chiefs, Vance Walker had six tackles (three solo).

Brandon Watts, LB, Minnesota Vikings (2009-2013)

Brandon Watts played as a reserve for the Minnesota Vikings in their 30-14 victory over the Raiders. Watts had two tackles (one solo).

Did Not Play

Stephen Hill, WR for the Carolina Panthers, was placed on the IR prior to the start of the season. And DeAndre Smelter, WR for the San Francisco 49ers, was placed on the Non-Football Injury Reserve prior to the season. Andrew Gardner of the Philadelphia Eagles was placed on the injured reserve after suffering a foot injury in Week 3. Darren Waller of the Baltimore Ravens was placed on the injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 8.

Jeremiah Attaochu (LB, San Diego Chargers) and Philip Wheeler (LB, Atlanta Falcons) were both on a bye this week.
