Georgia Tech Recruiting: Brentavious Glanton is Commitment #19

The Yellow Jackets picked up a commitment on Tuesday from one of the major defensive linemen left in Georgia.

After a quiet couple of weeks on the recruiting trail as fall camp is now in full swing, Georgia Tech got some great news on Tuesday afternoon. Brentavious Glanton, a defensive tackle from Albany, GA, has committed to play at Georgia Tech. At 6'2", 275lb, Glanton committed to play for Ted Roof over offers from Cal, Tennessee, NC State, and others. After visiting in early June, the Jackets have always been high on Glanton's radar. He received his offer back in early May, without even having to earn it by camping at Georgia Tech -- the coaches were impressed enough to go ahead and offer him without further demonstrations.

See the video of Glanton's commitment from Rivals' Woody Wommack below:

Glanton is a lineman with good size (that will likely continue to grow), but a lot of speed as well. His hands are very fast, and he does a great job of getting into the backfield and disrupting plays. Adding a bull rush with some size could make Glanton a real terror of a DT for opposing teams.

Glanton joins Kyle Henderson and Scott Morgan as defensive tackle commitments in this class. You can see his film below.

Glanton is rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals (5.5).

Like what you see, Tech fans? Happy with the acquisitions of Glanton and Henderson at DT?
