The ACC's Football Kickoff is underway in Greensboro, NC. Sunday features the two players that each team brings, while Monday features the coaches from each team. Georgia Tech brought seniors LB Quayshawn Nealy and OL Shaquille Mason, and SB Nation's Bud Elliott was able to speak with each on Sunday afternoon.
Nealy spoke extensively about the new, shiny, 4-2-5 base set that Georgia Tech's defense will be using this fall. He makes sure to point out that it doesn't necessarily mean they'll be doing away with their 4-3 set -- just that the majority of times they'll be showing a 4-2-5 set. He also talks a lot about the team's good chemistry and hard work this offseason, and his personal goals for improving himself this offseason.
Mason talked about working on his lower-body strength in the offseason, his favorite place to play outside of Bobby Dodd Stadium, and the one game that he has circled on his calendar this year.
Nealy and Mason were also able to sit down with the ACC Digital Network for a couple of minutes for a fun conversation.
We'll be back tomorrow with quotes from Coach Johnson. Are there any questions you'd like to ask him?
