Georgia Tech will begin its football season this fall at home on August 30 against the Wofford Terriers, with the game kicking off at 12:30pm and being shown on regional sports networks -- specifically, Fox Sports South in Atlanta, but including a number of networks around the region. It will be the first time the Jackets have played against Wofford since 1901.
From there, the Jackets travel to New Orleans to take on Tulane in what will ideally be the opening of the Green Wave's new stadium (though if the stadium is not prepared, the game will happen in the Superdome). The following week, Tech will host previous Paul Johnson employer Georgia Southern as the two teams meet for the first time ever. That game, also from Bobby Dodd Stadium, will kick off at 12:00pm, and will also be broadcast on regional sports networks such as Fox Sports South.
Per ramblinwreck.com...
The Regional Sports Network (RSN) features one ACC football game each week and includes Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolinas, Fox Sports Florida (or Sun Sports), Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic, New England Sports Network (NESN), the YES Network (or MSG Network in New York) and Root Sports in Pennsylvania, in addition to several other RSNs nationally. ... [The RSN] reaches 71 million homes on average.
The remainder of Tech's games (except Tulane) are likely to be announced 12 days prior to kickoff. The schedule at this point is as follows:
