Monday brought news calling for celebration on the Flats, as three Georgia Tech football players were named to the Academic All-ACC team for 2013. Ray Beno, Business Administration/Economics ’13, Trey Braun, Mechanical Engineering ’15, and Harrison Butker, Industrial Engineering ’17, all were named to the squad that requires a 3.00 Cumulative GPA and a 3.00 Semester GPA.
The ACC has named an Academic All-ACC football team every year since 1954. Beno, Braun, and Butker extend the list to 23 Academic All-ACC members since Paul Johnson took over at Georgia Tech. Other notable members of the team during that time include Roddy Jones (’08-’10), Logan Walls (’09-’11), and Will Jackson (’10-’12). Beno was selected for his second straight season.
Impressed? Anyone else notice the selection of majors included within this list? Something you think we ought to flaunt to others?
