Georgia Tech Football: Governor's Cup Presented at Halftime of Yellow Jackets' Basketball Game vs Vanderbilt

Sometimes, it's nice to have a little reminder of great moments.

At today's basketball game where the Yellow Jackets took on the Vanderbilt Commodores, there was a little something extra in attendance, as the Governor's Cup was presented to fans in attendance at halftime. The Cup, of course, is awarded to the team winning each year's football game between Georgia Tech and georgia, which the Yellow Jackets won a few weeks back by a score of 30-24. On hand to present the trophy were star B-Backs Synjyn Days and Zach Laskey, who went for a combined 235 yards and 3 touchdowns on 42 carries (over 5.5 yards per carry) in Athens. Also presenting were Harrison Butker, whose amazing 53-yard field goal as time expired sent the game to overtime, and Broderick Snoddy, whose broken leg against Clemson ended his season. The players and team got a major ovation, as could be expected.

The Yellow Jackets play against Mississippi State in the Capital One Orange Bowl on New Year's Eve at 8:00 ET on ESPN.
