Georgia Tech Football: Shaquille Mason and DJ White Named ACC Players of the Week

On Monday, the ACC named senior OG Shaquille Mason its co-offensive lineman of the week and DJ White its defensive back of the week for their performances against georgia on Saturday.

Mason led Georgia Tech to 399 rushing yards against a georgia defense that only allowed more to Florida this season. Additionally, the 463 yards of total offense was the most anyone has accumulated against georgia's defense all season. Mason paved the way for the offense all day, playing a major role in their success against a talented defense. The award was Mason's third of the season following the Miami and NC State games.

White recorded 4 tackles on the day, including one for a loss, and recorded his fourth interception of the season in overtime to clinch the victory for Georgia Tech. White has made some really big plays this season and in his career, but may never make a bigger one. That play was also named the ACC Digital Network's #1 play of the week conference-wide.

Per the GT Athletic Department, with the interception, White became the first player at Georgia Tech with an interception in three straight games since Dominique Reese in 2008. The selection was White's first of the year.
