Tonight, Georgia Tech looks to complete a tough September slate undefeated as they play their third straight divisional game, this time against the Virginia Tech Hokies. It is Georgia Tech's final home game before travelling next weekend to Coral Gables to take on Miami, and taking a trip to Provo, Utah the following week to take on BYU. The Yellow Jackets are on a three-game losing streak against the Hokies, though each game has been very close with the Jackets in the driver's seat at different points. Last year, Deon Hill scored a touchdown with 0:45 left in regulation that put Georgia Tech on top by a field goal, but Al Groh's defense collapsed and the Hokies ended up winning in overtime. The Hokies come in on a three-game winning streak after losing in their opener to two-time defending national champion Alabama, but in their three "easier" matchups, the Hokies and Senior QB Logan Thomas have looked particularly inept on offense. However, Bud Foster's defense is once again top-notch, led by DE James Gayle and CB Kyle Fuller. Can Georgia Tech beat the Hokies for the first time since Homecoming of the magical run of 2009?
Previews: Wes Simms takes a look at Virginia Tech's team, results thus far, a recent series history, and what we should expect to see on Thursday. Also, Tom Nagy makes a surprise appearance (from the land of fatherhood) & gets some questions answered for Yellow Jacket fans from our friends at Gobbler Country. Don't forget, he answered some of theirs too!
