2012 Top 10 Plays: (6) Vad Lee's 24-Yard TD Run vs Boston College

Capping off the first half of our series is Vad Lee with what we hope will become a routine play for him.

Countdown to Kickoff: 43 Days...

The Situation: Georgia Tech leads Boston College 14-3 with under 4 minutes to go until halftime. 3rd and 11 on the Boston College 24.

The Play: Vad Lee takes the snap and takes a short drop before breaking forward behind Zach Laskey on the QB Draw. Laskey throws a nasty block and eliminates the BC middle linebacker who has wisely stayed at home on this play, allowing Lee to break to his left and dodge a couple of tackles. Once he makes it to the outside, Lee shows a great display of shiftiness and athleticism to dodge and break a total of about 3 tackles. (All of this, of course, while doing a great job of following his blocks.) Lee is able to convert the 3rd down for a 24 yard touchdown, which ends up being the winning score.

The Aftermath: Tech went on to score another touchdown on their following drive as Lee had a 45-yard strike to Anthony Autry. The Jackets took a 28-3 lead into halftime and ended up winning the game by a score of 37-17.

Where does this play rank on the entire season's radar for you?
