Georgia Tech Football: Over/Under 8.5 Wins?

5Dimes recently released its odds on regular season win totals this fall. Georgia Tech's odds have been set at -200 (that's 3-to-2 for those of us who aren't big gamblers) for an over/under line of 8.5 regular season wins. As easy as some lines can be to bet against, this is actually really close, because I get the feeling that a lot of us expect Tech to finish in the 8-9 wins region. Personally, I look at the schedule and see 6 solid wins (Elon, Duke, UNC, Syracuse, Pitt, and Alabama A&M), and I expect us to scratch out 2-3 past that. Then I consider that we have a new defensive coordinator and we have no idea how that will go, before considering that the guy he's replacing was a downright train wreck...

I'll take the over on this one. I think Georgia Tech finishes with at least 9 wins after the georgia game.
