Well in the midst of football season getting ready to start in just over a month, we actually got a bit of basketball news today! Georgia Tech and Kentucky have agreed to a two-game series that will have games played in the 2019-20 and 2020-2021 seasons.
Kentucky will host the first game this season on December 14 up in Lexington, and Tech will be the “host” next season on November 27. I put host in quotation marks because the game will not be played at McCamish Pavilion, but instead, it will be at State Farm Arena.
I like the idea of playing Kentucky, but not at State Farm Arena. This feels like it’s setting up really well to be essentially two home games for Kentucky, because I can’t imagine Tech selling all of their allotment of tickets for the State Farm game. Please prove me wrong, though.
What do you think of the newly announced series between Georgia Tech and Kentucky?
