Basketball in Midtown is back slightly earlier than usual. For the first time in the program's history, the Yellow Jackets will be holding an open practice and intrasquad scrimmage. The event will be held in McCamish Pavilion on Saturday, October 25 at 12:30 PM. You, your friends and your family can come and see the new and old Jackets in this white versus gold event.
Practice for the upcoming season is already underway, and some of the progress can finally be witnessed. Jacket fans will get their first look at the many new players suiting up for the first time as a member of Brian Gregory's team, including key transfers Josh Heath, Robert Sampson, and prized recruit Tadric Jackson.
The Jackets tip off the season against their hated rival from Athens on November 14 and will face a tough slate of ACC play in the coming months. It's essential that the new faces familiarize themselves with the schemes quickly, so this is a nice check in on that process. The event is completely free and open to the public so come out before the bulk of Saturday's college football action.
