Bottom Line
UMBC has had a pretty poor showing this season, winning just the first game of the season. Tech, on the other hand, has had a phenomenal opening to the season. One of the key things that is worth keeping an eye on this weekend is fatigue from the Yellow Jackets' 16-inning thriller with Georgia Southern a couple nights ago.
To do well in this series, Tech needs to be doing exactly what they've been doing: scoring lots of runs and pitching very well. The Jackets are currently averaging 8.25 runs per game, while giving up just two runs per game. It's been a successful strategy thus far and I'm sure the Jackets will be doing all they can do to keep doing that.
Against UMBC, I think the Jackets should be fine doing that. If anything, the Jackets may have a bit of a struggle today after this week's extra-inning game, but I'm not too worried about that right now since there was a full day in between that and today's game.
