It was a fun night at McCamish Pavilion, and a good start for the Jackets in the NIT.

With two on and two out, Georgia Tech had the man it wanted at the plate, and he delivered. A single up the middle was enough to score Connor Justus from second base, which was good for the Jackets to take the series opener against Western Carolina and advance to 9-0 on the season -- their best start since 2006.

Although his football career ended on a cold night in Clemson over two years ago, Chase Roberts has continued to embody what it means to be a successful student at Georgia Tech. This was an awesome speech to the donors of the Alexander-Tharpe fund, and it's one you're going to want to watch.
