Georgia Tech athletics has a new strategic plan for its future and the future of its programs. As the article states, the plan encompasses the following six areas:

  • champion academic excellence
  • achieve competitive excellence
  • build Everyday Champions
  • expand recruiting operations
  • enhance resource development
  • cultivate community engagement

Tech athletic director Todd Stansbury unveiled the plan on Tuesday. The article includes a video and a PDF that highlight the plan details for those who are interested.

With the NCAA now transitioning to the NIL era, several Georgia Tech student-athletes should be able to reap the benefits of the new rules. One of those athletes mentioned is Yellow Jacket football player Jordan Yates. Yates has a following on his TikTok account — an impressive 47,700 followers to be exact. It seems fair that student athletes should be able to benefit from the name, image, likeness (NIL), and it seems Yates is set up in a pretty good position to do just that.

Congratulations to Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets golfer Luka Karaulic on winning the Golf Coaches Association Summer Series event. Karaulic finished at an impressive 17-under-par with a final score of 69 for the tournament that was held at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tennessee. As the article mentions, Karaulic next plans to take part in the U.S. Amateur qualifier that takes place from July 13-14.

Last season, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team had an impressive home victory over the Syracuse Orangemen. The final score was 84-77. This article features some video highlights from that win. There were impressive performances and plays by the likes of Moses Wright, Jordan Usher, and Khalid Moore that are featured in the video.
