The JumpStart Jackets summer bridge program has begun. The program is supported by the Athletics Association’s student-athlete services. Several incoming freshmen were welcomed to the campus. It’s an annual tradition that lasts two-and-a-half weeks and helps new Yellow Jackets acclimate to life at Tech, as the article mentions. It’s only June, but before we know it Fall will be here and all the excitement of a new season.

This time of year there’s a slow down in the collegiate sporting world. So, it makes sense to relive some of the highlights from the past season. This article features video from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women’s basketball team’s win over Florida State. The game took place on February 18, 2021. The final score was 62-48. It was quite a dominant win for the Yellow Jackets who had quite a run in the NCAA Tournament this past season.

Former Yellow Jacket golfers have been busy lately. This article provides updates of some of their accomplishments. Some of those Yellow Jackets to be mentioned include Tyler Strafaci, Cameron Tringale, Stewart Cink (as always it seems, this year) and also J.T. Griffin and Paull Haley II. Strafaci made his first PGA Tour cut at the Memorial Tournament and ended up tying for 57th place. There were quite a number of Yellow Jackets at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio where the tournament took place.

The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will take place from June 9-12. The event will take place at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Georgia Tech will be represented by distance runner Nicole Fegans & jumper Bria Matthews. They both qualified for the event after competing in the NCAA East Regional Preliminaries that were held back in May in Jacksonville, Florida. Good luck to them as they compete in the NCAA Championships. #GoJackets
