It’s a big weekend for Beesball on the Flats, as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be facing the Clemson Tigers starting today. The Jackets and the Tigers are pretty evenly matched, with Tech having one less win than the Tigers (22-18, 15-12 ACC). This is a crucial series for the Jackets, as they currently sit at second in the ACC Coastal Division standings with three conference series left in the regular season. Tonight’s game will start at 6 p.m. ET and can be seen on ACCNX, both Saturday and Sunday’s games will begin at 1 p.m. ET on RSNs.

This article is all about speculation, as of right now, PG Jose Alvarado is just exploring his draft options, not transferring. Alvarado could end up coming back to Georgia Tech or, as the article above points out, going to a school like Kentucky if the NBA prospects don’t seem great. Even though the article is speculation, I encourage you to give it a read if you want to learn more about one of Tech’s best point guards in history.

Besides having a great college basketball season (a Sweet 16 run never hurts), Lotta-Maj Lahtinen excels in the classroom. Lahtinen’s major is business administration, and she did some major scoring this season (lead the team with 15 points per game), as well as leading the team in assists and steals. For her academic efforts, Lahtinen was placed on the 2021 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She’s just one of three players from the ACC to make this team. Congratulations, Lotta-Maj!

We’re nearing the end of the college school year, so that means that many spring sports are about to have their NCAA Championships. For their incredible regular season, the Georgia Tech Women’s Tennis team received a NCAA Tournament regional hosting berth. The regional round begins today, and includes Georgia Southern, Ole Miss, and North Florida. The Jackets’ stiffest competition this weekend will likely be Ole Miss, who currently sits at no. 25 in the nation. The Jackets’ first serve will be at 2 p.m. ET today against Georgia Southern. Good luck!

This is the podcast to listen to if you want to get the inside scoop on Georgia Tech Athletics!

Question of the Day: What do you think about the Beesball team’s chances this weekend against Clemson?
