The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team will have to be wary of the University of Miami going into their upcoming series this weekend. According to the article, the Hurricanes will be looking to improve in the ACC standings and for them that means doing well against the Yellow Jackets — currently the first place team in the Coastal Division. The Hurricanes are ranked fourth and are two and a half games behind the Yellow Jackets. The NCAA tournament is right around the corner and both teams are looking to finish strong in May. The three game series begins this Friday in Miami. It will be the Yellow Jackets final road games of the regular season before finishing the season with a four game home stretch that includes another installment of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.
There are a lot of qualities of college sports that distinguish it from professional sports. One aspect that makes it unique is the presence of marching bands and the fight songs that represent their respective schools. This Fanbuzz article ranks the top 10 and, not surprisingly, the Georgia Tech fight song is among them. “Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech” was ranked 8th, which isn’t too bad, though, all Yellow Jacket fans can agree it deserves to be ranked much higher. Aside from that, one interesting tidbit from the article was the fact that the song was sung by Richard Nixon and Nikita Kruschev at a summit in 1959. You learn something new every day.
The article reviews the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s tennis team season. Their season came to an end after losing in the first round of the NCAA Division I tournament to Memphis. But looking back it was a good season for the team considering they finished above .500 and that they qualified for the post season tournament for the first time since the 2017 season.
