What’s your favorite Morgan Burnett memory?

Assume this current cohort of seniors leaves Tech who do you think are gonna become the next superstars for each basketball squad? - Anuj Bhyravabhotla

Ben: I would say Kyle Sturdivant is the guy I’m going to keep an eye on. He was pretty much Tech’s sixth guy all year long, and with some folks leaving, a role should open up for him.

Robert: If we’re looking for a superstar, Deebo Coleman certainly has the highest upside.

Jake: I’m quietly high on Tristan Maxwell.

Peeps, chocolate bunny or Matzo balls? - DressHerInWhiteAndGold

Ben:

Jake: Chocolate bunny for sure.

Where do you think Pressley gets drafted? - Notwima13

Ben: I would love to say that he could get drafted as early as the fifth round, but I would say the sixth or seventh round is probably more likely.

Jake: I’m with Ben, it’ll be late in the draft.

Talk a little Morgan Burnett, great GT safety calling it a career. - Notwima13

Ben: This isn’t a question Notwima. But it’s a good not question, so I’ll still talk about it. My best memory of Morgan Burnett was from Tech’s 2008 match-up with Georgia. In the first quarter, up 7-0, Matt Stafford had started a drive. After getting nothing done on first and second down, Stafford dropped back to pass and threw a touchdown...to Morgan Burnett. And just for fun, here’s a clip:

Best of luck to you in the future Morgan!

Robert: Tons of great Morgan Burnett memories. One of my favorite games from the CPJ era was the win over FSU in 2008, which was the first time GT had beaten FSU since they joined the ACC. Burnett had 8 tackles (1 for a loss) and 4 passes defended in that game. That’s unreal! Oh yea, and he led the country in interceptions in 2008.

One thing I miss are the midweek games, mostly eliminated. How do you see this affecting the overall season? - Bill Brockman

Ben: I know you mentioned the pitching staff getting a break with this altered schedule, and I get that, but to offer a bit of a counter-balance, with this, I am worried about players not being able to stay in rhythm since they don’t have that midweek game anymore. I think it will take a couple weeks to adjust, if nothing else.

Jake: I went back into the schedule and I forgot just how many weeks we had a Tuesday AND Wednesday game. Honestly, with how many question marks we have on the pitching staff, I think that might be a good thing for us this year.

Sup,

Hope y’all are doing well this week. I had a good weekend. went back to a movie theater this weekend, sign that things are getting back to normal. Saw “Stand By Me”, felt all emotional about all the good times I had with my childhood friends. smiled a bit, grimaced a bit, teared up a bit. good all around.

My question this week is what do you want to be the first movie you see on the big screen now that you haven’t been able to go to the theater for essentially a year now? Have a good rest of your week,

Gorgo Marduk

P.S. If you play this record backwards it’s a message telling you to worship satan. don’t know if thats true or not but it sounds fun. (submitted via email)

Ben: I really want to find out what this whole message says backwards, but I don’t know that I really want to know enough to actually do it. As for what movie I want to see, I could probably go to a theater sooner than this, but one movie I really want to see in theaters (and probably IMAX) is Dune. I’m super excited for this movie.

Jake: I honestly don’t even know what’s coming out in theaters anytime soon, shame on me. I just know I’d like it to be a weekend where I’m home to support our local main street theater rather than a big chain.
