The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets now know their opponent for Thursday afternoon’s ACC tournament quarterfinals matchup. On Wednesday, 13th seeded Miami defeated 5th seeded Clemson. With the win, Miami moves on to take on Tech in the quarterfinals. The Hurricane’s may be starting to have some tired legs as Thursday’s game will be Miami’s third game in three days. On Tuesday, Miami defeated Pittsburgh to move on to the second round.
In Georgia Tech and Miami’s previous and only meeting of the season, the Jackets played their most complete game of the season. In that game, the Jackets defeated Miami by a score of 87-60, leading by nearly 40 early in the second half. Michael Devoe, Jose Alvarado, and Moses Wright all played phenomenally that day.
Tech and Miami will tipoff at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday and the game will be broadcast on ESPN. The winner will move on to the semifinals and will take on the winner of Virginia versus Syracuse.
