Technical Tidbits 3/10: Wright named ACC Player of the Year

There are some stories that seem too good to be true. The story of Moses Wright’s basketball journey is certainly one of them. It’s very impressive to imagine he was a zero-star recruit coming out of high school who would go on to become the ACC Player of the Year for this season, his final one at Georgia Tech. Wright is a well-rounded individual who enjoys playing tennis, swimming, and even musical performance. As the article mentions, the NBA could be a very real possibility for him too. Regardless whether he ends up in the NBA or not, Wright will certainly be remembered for what he accomplished while on The Flats.

Kyle Sturdivant joins the list of Yellow Jackets who are gaining honors and recognition as the 2020-2021 basketball season draws to a close. The sophomore guard was named yesterday to the 2020-21 All-ACC Academic Men’s Basketball team. He is the lone Yellow Jacket to be named to the team. Congratulations to him on this recognition.

In some golfing news from the professional world, this article features some former Yellow Jacket golfers who have been making headlines or news while on the pro circuit. Some of the names include Richy Werenski, Cameron Tringale, Stewart Cink, and Matt Kuchar. Werenski finished 4th in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Tringale made the cut and finished tied for 31st in the same tournament. The next big upcoming event on the PGA tour will be the The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
