The 2021 baseball season is approaching and the Yellow Jackets are looking to build off of their success from last season, and hopefully do better. According to D1Baseball, Georgia Tech is the 15th ranked team in the nation. This was the Yellow Jackets third preseason ranking as the article points out. The Yellow Jackets have also received top 20 rankings from Perfect Game and College Baseball Nation. An important factor in Tech’s ranking is its returning several players in what was already a deep roster.

Georgia Tech’s women’s tennis team defeated Memphis yesterday 7-0. The Yellow Jackets continue their season this weekend when they host the ITA Kickoff. They’ll be matched against the University of South Carolina on Saturday and on Sunday they’ll face either Duke or Michigan. The team is ranked 12th in the country. Good luck to the tennis team as they continue their season this weekend.

Georgia Tech’s golf team is ranked 20th in the nation. After the opening round of the Camp Creek Seminole Invitational, the team is in seventh place. The tournament is taking place at the Camp Creek Country Club in Watersound, Fla. Luka Karaulic and Will Dickson were among Tech’s leading golfers. Other participating teams include Clemson, Florida State, Duke, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

The football season is over and we’re pretty well into the offseason. With that, the focus, naturally, has shifted to recruiting. However, this doesn’t mean it’s too early to make predictions. This article does just that by speculating about how things in the ACC will shape up in the 2021 season. Of course, Clemson is the favorite according to this article, picking up the first place ranking. The Yellow Jackets are ranked sixth team, which isn’t too bad. This is largely based on the strength of the team’s depth chart and the incoming transfers.
