Georgia Tech offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude has confidence in the team’s offensive line. If the offense is going to make improvements this year, that’s one unit that will have to make a difference. As the article points out, last year the Yellow Jackets had trouble moving the ball finishing 127th in total offense in the FBS. Of course, the offensive line did have its share of injuries. Health issues aside, hopefully this year will see some big improvements.
Of course it’s only Geoff Collins’ second year as head coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and given the daunting task of transitioning from the triple-option to a whole new offensive system, it’s understandable that expectations aren’t too high for the Yellow Jackets. Yet, there’s hardly any mention of the Yellow Jackets. Not even as one of the most underrated teams. That’s what happened in this article by the experts at CBS Sports. That seems to be the norm regarding Tech’s football program and its coverage in the media.
Relive the Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team’s exciting win over Clemson last season. The video highlights Michael Devoe’s game winning shot. There were still 15 seconds left on the clock, but the Yellow Jackets were able to hold off the Tigers to secure the victory. What an exciting way to close out the season.
The Georgia Tech women’s basketball team has had some great players over the years. This article features some photos of some of the team’s All-Americans from their time on the Flats.
By now everyone is aware of the kickoff times that were announced for at least two of the Yellow Jackets football games. It’s nice to see that Tech will get some coverage as both of those two games will be televised, one on ABC the other on ESPN. Ideally, the more national coverage Tech can get the greater it can appeal to out of state recruits.
