Georgia Tech’s 2021 recruiting class got off to a bang on Friday morning when Miles Kelly announced his intention to play for the Jackets. Kelly, a 6’5” combo guard from Hargraves Military Academy in Chatham, VA was a bit of a surprise commitment for Tech as he also had offers from many other power five programs including the ACC likes of Wake Forest, NC State and Miami. Given that coach Pastner has swung and missed on a fair share of highly contested recruiting battles, it is nice to be pleasantly surprised about a piece of recruiting news.
Kelly looks to be a borderline top 100 player in the ‘21 class as Rivals has him at #98 and 247 Sports has him listed #110 in their overall recruiting rankings. His skillet is a bit reminiscent of what Mike Devoe brings to the table, as he’s good good height and length for a guard with the ability to both get to the rim and knock down outside shots.
Check out his highlight tape below to see what this future Jacket is all about!
