Honestly, this was a play that I missed as I was out of the country during this game and only caught a few moments of it. So this was the first time I saw it and it might just be one of my favorite plays from last season. By just considering this play and the surprise onside kick against UGA it is obvious that Tech’s special teams coordinator Jeff Popovich is a smart guy. I’m looking forward to seeing what he and the rest of the coaching staff have in store for us this upcoming season.
Sometimes it can be hard to realize that a whole year has passed until an event like the ACC Football Kickoff comes along. I remember the event last year and the anticipation of the upcoming Yellow Jackets season it brought with it. Now the event is being postponed as reported in this article. It seems the uncertainty surrounding college sports is only intensifying due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Not encouraging but I guess the best attitude to have is to expect the worst and hope for the best.
It’s become more and more apparent that the 2020 NCAA football season is going to be like no other we’ve seen. With the likely conference only games (if any) being more and more common, with the ACC due to announce their decision in late July, the likelihood of a 10 game season may be the best we can hope for.

Nice! It looks like some of the athletes were able to get in a good workout yesterday. #TogetherWeSwarm
