Earlier today, three-star safety Kaleb Edwards announced his commitment to Georgia Tech. The Dacula, GA native is rated as the no. 46 overall prospect in the state of Georgia and the no. 43 safety in the nation, holding a .8688 composite rating. According to Edwards’ 247Sports profile, he holds 31 offers in total and was heavily recruited by schools including Notre Dame, Indiana, and Vanderbilt.

Edwards is the second defensive back commit of the 2021 class, joining S Shawn Chappell Jr. from Durham, NC.
Looking at Edwards’ film, one finds an extremely quick player on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Edwards has good coverage skills, with strong decision making that often leads him to the ball. While Edwards is only a three-star right now, I could definitely see him making a late surge in the rankings if high school football is played in the fall.
Welcome to the Flats, Kaleb!
