It is always good to hear of a new commitment. The 15th and latest for the football program came in yesterday when Gavin Barthiel announced he would be committing to Georgia Tech. The Lakeland, Florida native is ranked a three star recruit by Rivals and 247 Sports Composite as mentioned in the article. Barthiel is the first linebacker of the 2021 class to commit to Tech.

The 2019-20 season has long been over, but it’s always fun to relive some of the good memories. This article does so through some photos of the women’s basketball team’s sweep over Clemson last season. The last win over Clemson was a 56-44 road victory as the team was wrapping up the regular season. They finished with a 20-11 record.

In more basketball news, it was announced that Georgia Tech will participate in the Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational next season. The event includes four games in one day that take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The Yellow Jackets will be matched up against the Stanford Cardinal. As pointed out in the article, this will be the fourth time the two schools will have met on the court with Stanford holding a 2-1 lead.

Returning to football news, Lindy’s Sports named five Yellow Jackets to their preseason All-ACC Teams. Those players include linebacker David Curry, offensive lineman Jack DeFoor, running back Jordan Mason, cornerback Tre Swilling, and wide receiver Ahmarean Brown. Just last week these same players were named to Athlon’s 2020 preseason all-ACC teams. Congratulations to all of them for the well deserved recognition.
