Georgia Tech Recruiting: Tight End Leo Blackburn Commits!

Leo Blackburn becomes the thirteenth commitment for Georgia Tech and the second from Westlake High School in a short time. His size fits the tight end mold well at 6'5" and 220 pounds. The composite ranking from 247 lists him as a 3-star and the 26th overall tight end. Leo should add good depth and competition at a position looking to rebuild.

Though Blackburn is listed as a tight end he often lines up out wide as a receiver. That should be a bonus in the way Patenaude routinely uses tight ends on receiving routes. Leo shows a good vertical going over corners on fade routes in the end zone and excellent blocking downfield in the run game. He should complement a fast receiving core and larger line in the coming years.
