Well, it looks like it’s an offensive player this time. Georgia Tech received a commitment from wide receiver James BlackStrain yesterday. The four star recruit becomes the team’s eighth commitment of the 2021 recruiting class. The fact that Tech is able to draw in key recruits on both sides of the ball says a lot for the coaching staff and how players want to be a part of what head coach Geoff Collins and his staff are doing here on the Flats.
Georgia Tech and Georgia State announced yesterday that they would play a three-game series during the 2020-21 NCAA basketball season. Tech will host two of the games with the other being played at Georgia State. This is the latest announcement regarding Tech’s non-conference basketball schedule. The two schools have met 19 times on the court with Tech holding the advantage 17-2 after winning the last 14 meetings.
The accolades and recognition continues to come in for Georgia Tech’s student athletes. The golf and men’s tennis team were the latest to garner recognition for its performance in the classroom. Tech is a rare example of a school that offers wonderful opportunities to its athletes by providing them a top-notch education to go along with their athletic pursuits. It’s great to see these young athletes living up to their potential in the classroom as well as on the playing field.
