This article was a good read as it sheds light on some interesting details from the Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team’s 2019-20 season. Of course, some folks may already know about the details, but the way head coach Josh Pastner changed the team’s offensive system well into the season may be one of the more memorable takeaways from the season. As the article points out, it was an idea he began working out during the long cross-country flight to Hawaii for the Diamond Head Classic. A move like that isn’t seen often and it did seem to help the team hit the reset button.
The commitment of defensive tackle Zeek Biggers is not really news but this article featuring Tech’s latest 2021 recruit is an interesting read. Biggers is a big player, he’d be the biggest player on the team if it were to include recruits. At 6’6” and 335 pounds, Biggers will be quite a presence on the defensive line. This is an exciting addition to the team, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing him on the Flats, as many Tech fans, I imagine, will be. So far, Collins and his coaching staff seem to be doing a wonderful job on the recruitment front this offseason. As mentioned in the article, Biggers is the fourth prospect in the past two weeks to have committed to Tech.
Here’s an article that includes a video featuring former Tech golfer, and current PGA tour member Roberto Castro. Castro had quite a career at Tech and in 2017 was inducted into the Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame.
