The past month has been a difficult one for our Georgia Tech community, with many students taking financial hits and some becoming food-insecure in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Georgia Tech Division of Student Life, Development Office, and Alumni Association responded by creating an emergency student relief fund that is currently helping meet the needs of hundreds of students. However, the need for additional funds is not over yet!
From now until Wednesday, April 22nd, the Ramblin’ Reck Club is inviting as many people as possible to make a contribution to the fund. In exchange, we will leave a penny on the grave of Sideways the dog in your honor to give you a bit of extra luck during a difficult time and list your name as a participant here on our site!
No amount is too small — not even a penny! Donations can be made via Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or directly to the fund itself. Just be sure to tell us your name or the name of an honoree and we will leave a penny for you! If you decide to give directly to the fund, please email the name you’d like to see honored and a screenshot of your confirmation to help@reckclub.org.
We hope you’ll join us in the first ever virtual rendition of a 70-year-old finals week traditions while making a difference in the lives of students!
