This was a fun article that looks back at Tech’s NFL draftees from some of the more recent NFL drafts. There’s some significant names in the list. Two of Tech’s recent draftees on this list — Shaq Mason and more recently Harrison Butker — have won Super Bowls. I imagine we’ll see more Tech players getting drafted or finding a spot on NFL team’s in the years to come, as the team has adopted a more pro-style offense.

The results from last week’s first round of uniform voting are in. In this article with the updates, the gold helmets are among the fan’s favorites in three of the four combinations. Voting continues today and tomorrow and the final two will square off in voting that begins on Saturday.

As the article mentions, it’s a bit surprising that Tech is given the lowest odds of winning the ACC in the 2020 season. I would expect Tech to have fared better. Of course gambling sites aren’t always right and there’s a lot of time between now and the regular season. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, it’s better to be underestimated and outperform than it is to be the favorite and disappoint, so I have no problem with these expectations.

With the sports world coming to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several Yellow Jackets student athletes displayed their appreciation and thanks for the countless doctors, nurses and medical staff who have been bravely fighting on the front lines. As the article mentions, March 30th is recognized as National Doctors Day. This was definitely a thoughtful gesture on the part of the student athletes. All those in the medical profession who are risking their lives certainly deserve our appreciation and much, much more.
