Georgia Tech Recruiting: DE Grey Carroll Commits!

In today's digital world not even a pandemic and economic shut down can fully stop the gears of recruiting. The sounds of Spring practice may go silent this year but that leaves coaches extra time to reach out to recruits and build relationships.

Grey Carroll becomes the third commitment of the '21 cycle. He is rated as a 3-star defensive end at 6'3" and 245 pounds from Alcoa, TN. Georgia Tech was able to get him on campus for an unofficial before closures were made which surely helped against a few other ACC teams that offered in Boston College, Louisville, and Wake Forest.

Carroll has a long highlight reel from his junior season showing he is already a playmaker for his team. He stands out with his speed at running down RBs in the backfield from behind and making a few blocked punts on special teams. He shows a good ability at fighting off opposing linemen and getting to the QB or filling running lanes.

He will look to be a solid addition to the EDGE position with his years with the Yellow Jackets. Hopefully, we will get to see more highlights of his senior year this Fall. Welcome to The Flats!
