The Yellow Jackets’ baseball team put an end to the 14th ranked Auburn Tigers win streak. The final score was 6-2. The Tigers couldn’t get much going offensively. It’s encouraging to see the Yellow Jackets win like this on the road. As pointed out in the article, they will continue their four game road stretch on Friday as they face off against the 16th ranked Florida State Seminoles. That three game series starts on Friday and last through Sunday. #GoJackets

It was quite a game for Yellow Jackets junior Baron Radcliff. A home run and a double for two RBIs. Congratulations to him on a solid performance.

Yesterday the Yellow Jackets had their annual Pro Day for NFL scouts. Here were the participating players:

  • Christian Campbell, S
  • Nathan Cottrell, RB
  • Tyler Davis, TE
  • Jared Southers, OL
  • Step Durham, CB

According to the article, the Atlanta Falcons’ general manager Thomas Dimitroff was in attendance. It’s fun to speculate who may be on their radar; with the Falcons’ tight-end situation, my money would be on Tyler Davis.

Here’s another article on Tech’s annual Pro Day. While the numbers haven’t been released, one result was available and it was quite impressive. Nathan Cottrell ran a 4.4 40-yard dash. With numbers like that, you’d have to expect some NFL teams took notice.

As reported by this article, it looks like the Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team will be losing two more players to the transfer portal. Forward Kristian Sjolund and freshman guard Asanti Price have joined junior forward Evan Cole in entering their names into the transfer portal. This news was made official by Tech head coach Josh Pastner. It’s sad to see athletes leave Tech, but as I’ve said before, that’s college sports today. Good luck to these gentlemen wherever they decide to go.
