The Yellow Jackets women’s basketball team defeated Wake Forest 62-52 on Sunday evening. As the article points out, Francesca Pan and Lorela Cubaj led the way with 43 points combined. The Yellow Jackets are now 16-8 overall and 7-6 in the ACC. For their next game they will face off against Virginia Tech on February 13th. It will be a road game for the Yellow Jackets with tip-off set for 7:00 PM.

The Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team lost their road game to Pittsburgh on Saturday. It was turnovers that cost them the game. 22 to be exact — and yes that’s a lot, unfortunately. The Yellow Jackets dropped to 11-13 overall and 5-8 in the ACC. Their next game will be a home game against the fifth-ranked Louiville Cardinals. Tip-off is set for Wednesday at 8:00 PM.

It was a big day for Yellow Jacket softball player Cameron Stanford. As the article points out she went four-for-four including a home run and a double to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 5-3 win over Ohio. Congratulations to Stanford and the Yellow Jackets as they secured their first victory of the season.

Well, it’s that point of the season where the NCAA Tournament and the teams making the cut become the focus. For teams that are on the bubble like Tech is, the likelihood of a tournament bid comes down to numbers. This article does a great job of breaking down those numbers to give one a very clear picture of just what the Yellow Jacket’s chances are. With seven games remaining in the regular season, the Yellow Jackets will have to play their best basketball if they want to earn a bid. Hopefully they’ll be able to get on a good streak for these remaining few games.
